Why do I need an account to give online?
Our contribution system requires an account so that your giving can be linked to your profile in our database. This is especially important so you can access your giving records for tax purposes.
What online giving methods do you accept?
You may give by credit/debit card or by e-check (ACH). We prefer that you give using a bank account, especially for recurring donations. (The fees charged for giving via credit or debit card are significantly higher).
Will I receive a receipt for online giving?
Yes. You will be emailed a donation receipt each time you give online. Additionally, we will send you a year-end statement that includes all your tax-deductible contributions - both online and any contributions given using your church offering envelopes.
Is there a minimum or maximum amount I can give online?
There is a $5 minimum and a $10,000 maximum for online giving.
Is my giving information secure?
Any giving information you enter online is encrypted using SSL security, the same online security measures used by online retailers, banks, and the government.
Who can see my information?
If you are a member or regular attender, your information may appear in the church directory in addition to being visible to church staff who have appropriate permissions. Only other members or regular attenders to whom DOVE Westgate Church has granted access can view the directory.
How do I control what appears in the directory?
Under the "My Info" tab, you can use the small "lock" icon to control what information displays in the directory. (An 'unlocked' icon indicates that item is visible in the directory).
Can I opt out of the directory completely?
Yes. While we'd love to have at least your name in the directory, you can remove yourself completely if you'd like. On the "My Info" tab, select "No" next to "Include in directory."
Is my information secure?
Absolutely. Not only is your account password protected and SSL encrypted, the church must manually grant permission to any other member to find your information in the directory.
How will my information be used?
We primarily use your contact information for communication regarding church events, announcements, etc. We typically communicate via email, but sometimes will use postal mailings or text messages. Keep your information up to date so you don't miss out! We promise not to spam you. :) Under no circumstances will we sell or distribute your contact information.
How do I create an account?
(PLEASE NOTE: If you have already setup online giving on the DOVE Westgate website, then you already have an account and have the ability to login with those same credentials)
Setting up your new account is fast and easy! Just follow these simple steps:
Click on "Create An Account."
Enter your email address – if you have provided the church with your primary email address, please try to enter the same one here (otherwise you will create a duplicate account).
A security code will be sent to your email address.
Login to your email account and copy the security code.
Enter (paste) the security code that was sent to your email account.
Create and confirm your password and some personal details.
Your account should be setup!
"Help! I'm having trouble logging in!"
Login issues are usually caused by the two below reasons:
If you repeatedly receive a message that says "Invalid Password," click "Forgot your password," enter your email address, and you will be emailed a new password. After logging in with the new password, you can change it at the bottom of the "My Info" screen.
Your account isn't set up.
If you receive a message that says "This email address is not associated with a user," double check to make sure you typed your email address correctly. If so, a profile has not been set up with this email address. If you have a different email address, try that to make sure you didn't set up a profile with that email as your username. If not, follow the account creation process outlined above.
